Hi
Put what wheels you like on it, as long as they fit...but driving it is a different matter...The Bongo is around 500 Kg heavier than the Probe in it's basic form, and a loaded up Bongo is a lot heavier...500 Kg is half a metric tonne, and Bongo wheels are rated for these weights...Probe wheels aren't.
Keep your hands in your pockets and save till you can get properly load-rated wheels, and cough up on a fancy set of wheel trims in the mean time, OR...look for a wheel used on a much heavier vehicle that fits the Bongo wheel specifications.
Cheers
Helen

What rating do the alloys have to be because most alloys have it on the back of them eg 650kg I've emailed the seller to find out what load rating they are

Hi
Bongo should have a minimum 690 (from what I remember)...and...strangely enough, that's what my original Bongo alloys had on them   ...however, a year or two back, I bought a new set from Bellhill, and he will only sell correctly rated wheels and tyres...I got 15", because I wanted taller sidewalls, as the roads here are ridiculous...there's more hole than road.
I like the wheels a lot better on the Bongo than they look on the advert!
I'll post a snapshot if you want!
Also, they're a good price!
I did contact Rochford Tyres, and they are one hell of a good firm when it comes to answering mails and sheer attention to customer needs....BUT,I asked for 15" with correct load rating, and none complied...HOWEVER, they said that if you go up a peg or two in diameter, some of the wheels will be for heavier saloons / sports models, so you might get lucky.....BUT...Tom at Bellhill also sells larger diameter....
Cheers

They lied (or are mistaken  ) - VW wheels don't fit because the centre bores are too small.
