Hiya everyone,
The time has almost come! This Friday we (that's me, my 7yr old, 6yr old and 10month old) are going on our first bongo adventure on our own (ie without D as he's working). We are going to a camp site in Wirral which is meant to be mins walk to the beach. It's about an hours drive away so if there are any emergencies then we can come straight home! Part of me is really nervous. We've been out for day trips lots of times but it's quite another thing to stay out for the night in the bongo so I reckon it'll be fantastic or completely terrible. I've packed our clothes and tomorrow we are going to the supermarket for whatever foody bits we need then I@m going to load up the bongo in the afternoon so on friday morning everything is ready to go and there'sa no last minute stress. Well that's the idea. Bought the second junior sleeping bag today and got a mattress pad for the top bed. I've even have the older two sleeping in their sleeping bags tonight to try them out! Need to write a list of the extra things we need like bucket and spade, wellies, wet weather clothes, bubbles, books, nappies etc and then I'll almost be organised! Yay!! Let's do it!!
We're off on Friday to the Wirral!!

You may well be approached by Mr Inamoto, originator of the The Bongo, who is known to have retired to those parts.

Re: We're off on Friday to the Wirral!!
the weather forecast is not at all good for friday. hate to spoil your first exiting trip, but you may wish to postpone your first jolly.
forecast is for 60mph winds and driving rain, so if your planning putting the roof up.

Thanks for the warnings but I've some bad news. The baby is poorly: temp, v unsettled, not eating properly, not crawling. It doesn't look hopeful for our first trip......

I hope the babys better?
If you cant camp have a day out
New Brightons not a bad place to start, small nice beach, good cafe small arcade and funfair, Nepolionic fort if the kids fancy it

The marina thingy next to the fort is good for crab fishing too, just take a persil soap bag with a stone and some raw bacon in it and dangle it on the bottom of the water and the crabs will love it
