No reverse !!!!!!

Post by M 80NGO » Mon May 21, 2012 4:58 pm

Fear not fellow Bongoliers L'oreal is just fine, i was asked today about a friend of a friends 4X4 2.5 TD Bongo sorta thing, she was driving out of a carpark and had to stop then reverse to let another car in, but when she tried to select reverse it wouldn't go backwards, it'll drive forwards and if the rear prop is removed it'll roll backwards but with the rear prop attached it can't be rolled backwards.

Any ideas on either gear box, transfer box, of cardboard box ?

Thanx, Pete.

have a look at the connecting cables underneath, and on the top end at the stick, you may just be lucky and one has come off. is it going into park, and the footpedal lock engageing.disengaging, just thinking it may not let you engage reverse if its not clearing.

you will have to make it a bigger clue than that  .
the point i was making, maybe wrongly was that if its not coming out of forward, its never going to go backward.
