track rod end, new rubbers or change the lot?

Post by chipvan » Sun May 20, 2012 10:41 pm

Noticed my track rod ends also have splits,is it worth changing the rubbers or the whole lot? there is not much in it price wise..

take it the tracking will have to be re done if just rubbers are changed?

Hi
For the cost of track rod ends , it's cheap enough to replace them
Cheers

You might as well change the whole lot. There's only about £3 difference between the cost of the bush and the cost of the unit. That's because the full units are after market copies, but the bushes are genuine Mazda items, see the "Steering & Suspension" section in the club shop.

while you're at it, change the steering gaiters as well, nothing worse that getting all your steering set up again, then having to pull it all to bits when you notice you gaiters splitting?

why not do your torsion bar rubbers while its up in the air also. then all should be nice and tight :D
