Ian's ones are the best ones to get....... also be worth checking your lower ball joint....they can knock too.
Obviously check the drop links first..... but if there is no movement on the drop link chances are the botton ball joint is duff.....mostly happens due to age, speed bumps, potholes and many times accompanies a split or hole in the ball joint cover.......
If it's the bottom ball joint it needs the wishbone assembly too....which is a bit of an "ouch" moment..... easy change though BUT needs torquing when on the ground with vehicle weight on it...... I have done a "how to" on it inc torque settings....... obviously for locals to me tools lent out to save purchase.... for DIY
