radio band expander and door lock problem

Hi,

As anyone ever fitted one? The radio front comes off and the actually radio is fitted - seen band expander for £15 and hoping it will help with radio reception which is either non exisitant or losing the station within minutes of driving.

re sliding door lock. Inside lock was missing when we got the van and doesn't like being locked from the outside-needs to be slammed three times before it will lock - drivers door locks both doors but not sliding door. Because we like to lock the doors when we are sleeping we have to lock the sliding door outside - climb through in the back and pop the locks down on the drivers side.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I had a radio band expander fitted originally as there was a fairly nice radio. It did not cover the full band width and if you want local radio stations forget it. Its better than nothing but far better to replace the radio, just stay away from the Aldi one. That does all sorts of strange things in a Bongo, like flattening all batteries

Regarding the sliding door... Try cleaning the contacts on the door pillar & actual door with a bit of emery cloth or wet & dry fine grade.. There may just be a poor connection to the CL circuit! (Part 66-650D & 66-680A) http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... mgno=.html

Thanks will give Aldi a miss - not sure how to get the radio out though...

door fixed! No more slamming and re-locking. Just radio now....
