Auto transmission error codes

Please help! We have a 1996 Bongo 2.5 turbo diesel that has an intermittent problem with going into top gear. The garage have run a diagnostic using launch scanner x431 and have error codes 89 & 37. We have been unable to match these to known error codes. Is anyone able to advise us what they equate to?
