V6 cam cover removal / re-fit

Post by Grahame at work » Sun May 06, 2012 8:17 pm

Hi All you V6's

I have oil leaking/seeping from the near-side cam cover (rocker cover). I think the breather system is blocked on that side.
Any way I want to take the cover off and check it out. Repair any faults and replace the cover and probably do both sides while I'm at it. So I shall get a set of seals and I need to replace the sealing washers as they are all in a poor state.
BUT is there any thing in particular I need to watch out for while I do this or any other parts that I should be prepared to change while I'm in there?

Looking forward to your advice

regards Grahame

:(
no one?

Have I asked a wrong or stupid question?

Or am I heading into virgin territory?
If so then I’ll record everything and let you know how I get on.

regards Grahame
