Having trolled through the search pages I now just need confirmation....
I have a slight oil leak and think I've narrowed it down to the EGR. The diamond shape bit beneath the elbow join appears to have a shim (gasket) in it. It (the shim) is not flush all the way around it seems to have twisted. I'm assuming this is wrong and I should undo the bolts, twist it so the edges are flush and re tighten the bolts. Am I right? Or is there more to it?
I'll try and put pics up tonight if people think that'll help.
Thanks
EGR shim

Re: EGR shim
If it's the one on the big elbow at the front, then it does have an 'ear' that sticks out on one side. Strip it down, clean the oil out and then refit the gasket with some Hylomar gasket sealant.
