Hi All
I went out in my auto bongo this morning drove for about 20 miles, no problems at all, but massive amounts of rain.
Parked on my drive and went back to it an hour later... I could not get it out of 'Park' gear. Eventually it engagaed reverse and felt the break pedal move a little when doing this, and then drive.
However I noticed the speedo not working and 'hold' flashing. I pulled over stopped the engine and started it up again. No problems everything back to normal. The speedo isnt responsive tho from 0 to say 10 mph but after that reads fine.
I park on a inclined driveway with the front end maybe 4 to 6 inches higher than the back end, could this be the problem?
The anti roll back 'break' mechanism (sorry I'm no mechanic) jamming?
Could it be damp wet weather? bad or damp connection?
Maybe I'm missing something, any ideas anyone?
cheers
Nvm

Purely from memory, the speedo not responding to very low speeds sounds normal, ie the 'stop' is not at 0.
Re: releasing from park - are you pressing the brake pedal before trying to shift? Again from memory, I think you need to - my other car is an auto and I have to press the brake so it's now just a habit that I do.
Hold light flashing needs investigation if you can get it to happen again.
Just a couple of thoughts... more help on its way...!

Hi Nvm,
The gear change is controlled by an Interlock cable(from the brake to the gear selector),and the ignition switch. When you press the release button on the gear shift (brake pressed and the ignition key on,)you should hear the mech clicking at the foot brake.
It might just need a bit of lube.

Many thanks for your comments...recently serviced and MOT'd so hoping all oils etc are precise, could it be down to the way its parked too?

I wouldn't worry about the way it is parked. Mine lives on a 45 degree driveway (all I see is sky when I get in to drive).
More likely one of the other causes mentioned above.

Nvm if you go to the user control pannel at the top right of the screen and add your location there maybe some one local to you who may pop round and see if they can lend a hand.
