16mm wedge bulbs

Post by Colin Lambert » Mon Nov 13, 2006 4:39 pm

This from RING automotive today. should be of use to all.
Regarding your vehicle we unfortunately do not have the applications listed. But from your description the wedge based bulbs you are looking for should be an R580 (twin filament) and R582 (single filament). These can be purchased from your local Halfords store.

Kind Regards

I'm not sure since I am lucky enough (so far) not to need them but I presume since they equate to the old bayonet type 380 & 382 that we are talking about rear/brake (380) and or indicator (382) or in wedge terms 580 & 582.
perhaps someone else who has been unfortunate enought to need replacements can tell us.

Wedge type bulbs

Post by asallen » Thu Nov 16, 2006 9:33 pm

Stop and tail wedge type bulbs can be obtained from:-

As can most other auto bulbs, including LED replacements.
I ordered my wedge type bulbs and 50% brighter H4 headlamp bulbs and received them the next day!
Bloody good chaps!

Well That's me convinced.
Just received 2 X4led 501'sfrom Ultraleds. they sent blue instead of white and the ones that flash after they have been turned off (which I did not want) and they charge £3.49 p&p for a padded envelope and 44p postage !!(cheeky buggers) so the whole bill was £9.07 for the WRONG bulbs. 'Phoned at 13.09 still no response!
