Vibrating steering wheel when idle

Post by Skarloey » Wed Apr 18, 2012 2:27 pm

Hi all,
I have been a bongo owner for coming up a year now and i am loving every minute of it.
But I have a very annoying steering wheel, when the engine is on and I select drive in an idle position my steering wheel vibrates like mad, but if i was to select neutral or park the vibrating stops.
Is this just a matter of tightening the steering wheel bolt up? or is this a bigger issue?
Your help would be most appreciated.

which engine?. and what are the revs on tick over in neutral, then in drive.
is the fluid level at the correct mark, and what happens when you go full lock to other full lock.

the most obvious to look at is the mounting bolts retaining the steering column also check out that there's noting touching the steering column or rack.
