Any tips on how I can reduce the engine noise inside the cab when motoring.

Are both front seats properly down and latched securely ?
Is all the foam covering intact ?
Is the engine tray in position, some suggest that having it or parts missing increases the road noise.

I was thinking this today! There is a bit of a noise, mine is quite shaky. Like sitting on a bus when its idling. Don't know if this is normal. I just assumed it was.

Whilst investigating I did notice the drivers side center console clip wasn't done up! :) doing that whilst sat outside.nationwide waiting for the missus to finish work!

When I put in a wooden floor I saved the felt underlay from the carpet knowing I would find a use for it sometime.

When I stripped out the cab I cut and glued the felt under the seats and in the footwells as well as gluing a thin underlay foam under the steps and a couple of layers on the reverse of the door panels.

With all the extra sound proofing in the front the seats don't run quite as freely but with the interior now lagged up to window level all round it is quieter (it is a V6 though) and the only engine noise comes through the front end which is an aid to telling if the engine's running when idling.

The loudest noise I have now is a screw or spring clip pinging about somewhere behind the dash which despite my best efforts I cannot locate the damned thing.
