urgent help required

Post by 8etty 8ongo » Thu Mar 29, 2012 7:57 pm

hi all, am going to buy some mazda 6 alloys tomorrow. have been advised that they will fit my bongo ok. can anyone confirm this??
also I have to admit that I know nothing about buying alloys and am wondering if there is anything i need to ask or check?
sorry for the (probably stupid) questions.

Check them ALL carefully inside and out, look for cracks buckles or any damage if there is any damage walk away as it'll cause you handling / vibration headaches for ever more, light kirbing on the face is mostly unavoidable, also measure the centre hole bore of your bongo and the centre hole bore of the new rims, do you have anyone who can go with you and trial fit a wheel onto your van to ensure the stud pattern is the same ? Remember you may need longer wheel bolts due to the alloys being thicker than your steelies.

Finally if they're all good remember to apply copperslip the rear hubfaces prior to you fitting them all up

Not 100% but I think they do fit as I can recall seeing some on a bongo before. I used to have a Mazda Tribute and I fitted mazda 6 wheels to that no problems and I am sure they have the same running gear.
Sorry i have not sent you pics of those other wheels but if you dont get fixed up let me know.
Do what you like.Like what you do.
