Flashing Hold Light Diagnostics

Post by monkey » Tue Mar 27, 2012 1:51 pm

I have run through the diagnostics procedure as per the Transmission Codes Fact sheet. The sequence of flashes is 7 flashes in about 7 seconds. This sequence is repeated. During the procedure a light is illuminated just below the hold light warning saying "sediment".This warning light goes off once the engine is started. Am I right in assuming that "sediment" therefore is the problem which the flashing hold light is reporting. Bongo is 1997 SGL 3 2wd . The vehicle ID plate lists "transmission" as 4EC-AT .
Any help appreciated.

The sediment light comes on to indicate that the fuel filter sediment trap (water) has operated, if its not just the self test then sounds like time to clean the fuel filter trap out - here is a link to how its done http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 77#p528277
