Willinton and Leisure Battery question

Post by soggy57 » Sat Mar 24, 2012 1:18 am

Hello Folks, I was going to buy the Willinton kit and assumed I could set it up on my spare battery[have the 2 fitted as standard] I read that it can't be connected to the battery this way. Where does the leisure battery go in this instance and why can it not be connected to the winter battery.Any advice welcome please?

It can

just disconnect the second battery and re wire it with the willinton kit it will work and if and when the battery expires change it for a propper leisure battery

As long as yours is a auto its straight forward

You can wire it to any second battery, BUT it must be the only connection to the second battery, all existing wiring except the earth lead, must be removed first.
