Our temperature gauge started moving about yesterday on a journey down the motorway. It didn't go up above it's usual level but started falling a bit, sitting at the lower point for a bit and then coming back up again to its usual level. It never fell to the bottom. It did this a number of times and then stopped.
Coolant level is fine. No noise from the coolant alarm.
Any ideas much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Have a look at temp sender in engine the terminal on ours was corroded and did the same. A new sender does not cost very much. Cant remember where we got it from must have been bongo bits or ava .

Hi
Remember to bleed the system if you remove / add anything to the cooling system...airlocks / air pockets can occur after opening the coolant system, even with something as small as a sender
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
