Is really upset my freda has gone into repair for the next few days as it is over heating,thought the car was ok as went to get the temp gauge fixed yesterday and realised the car had no thermostat so got a new one fitted then today the car started to over heat luckily i still have it under warranty but it seems like my car gets fixed then brakes else where hope its nothing to serious as warranty only covers certain repairs but i have a limit of 500pnd just going to miss my car while it gets fixed

Ah - I read that post over on the other forum, and it reminded me of this thread! Clearly, I didn't look at the names too closely.

Doesn't sound good - especially the bit about a £500 limit. Possibly, if the worst is true, then he has a case for return & refund due to the disguising of a fault by removing the stat.
