Checking radiator levels

Post by sallyduthie » Sun Feb 12, 2012 9:36 am

The guy at the garage told me the best way to keep an eye on your coolant level is not by checking the expansion tank but checking somewhere under one of the seats.

I didn't ask him exactly which bit coz he said my husband would know, which he doesn't.

Help please!!! :?

The only levels under the seats that can be checked are oil, transmission and power steering fluid. The expansion tank is the correct place to check the coolant level.

I think he's getting confused between checking the level and bleeding the system. If not, don't let him touch your Bongo

Thanks everyone. I'm beginning to think I must have misheard him and he was talking about something else coz he knew a lot about bongos.
