Roof elevation help

Post by waynesurf360 » Tue Feb 07, 2012 9:52 pm

Hi just looking for some advise on my Bongo roof. When I elevate the roof it seems to stop a couple of inches short of where it needs to lock in place, I use to press down and up a couple of times and this seemed to lock it out but now I need to manually push the roof whilst someone presses the up button. I tryed lubricating the rollers but was just wondering if there was any other adjustment or if anyone has come across this before? Thanks in advance :D

Fairly normal behaviour for the AFT I'm afraid. With increasing age many of us are finding the need for a little manual help to get it extended the last inch or so  Other than lubricating the tracks, rollers & struts, there doesn't seem to be much that can be done.

Its fairly common I'm afraid, the cold weather doesn't help, it makes the tent material stiffer, so its harder to get it to go up all the way
Lost without my Bongo.
