oil level
hi all i have a side conversion so i have not had a chance to take the drivers seat out of the vehicle as yet. anyway managed to tilt the seat up a little and could see power steering top up . still learning cos i dont know naf all about the mechanics of the bongo so i will have to start somewhere. i dont know what i would do with out this forum if it wasn't for you lot i would be in the sh-t. Thanks andy

Dip Stick
Your oil level dipstick is under the passsenger seat if this helps.
Autogearbox oil level dipstick, glowplugs, power steering fluid, fuel filter and air filter, under drivers seat. Have you tried pushing the back of the seat as far forward as possible before lifting the actual seat to tilt it backwards?

autogear box
autogear box is this called your differential according the manual i can use genuine longlife hypoid gear oil SAE90 is there a alternative. thanks andy.
STOP
The gear box is NOT the Differential. If you put Gear oil in an auto box you will need a new gear box!
The Gear box takes Dexron III which is a red 'gnatspee' type oil.
EP 90 is thick gloopy stuff for axle differentials.
Is yours a 4WD or 2WD?
If the latter the Diff is the big lump in the middle of the rear axle. If it is 4WD it is also (there are 2 diffs on a 4WD) the big lump in the middle of the front axle.
Go into the members area and see my absolutely brilliant (he says modestly!) fact sheet on Lubricants.
