It's the gasket or a cracked head :-( £1000 to £2000 will find out tomorrow not good at all

I would get a second opinion from another garage before you authorise the work.
Your symptoms are glow plugs, you have no coolant loss nor overheating - it really doesn't sound like the head gasket or head :?

Booked in at second garage tomorrow I did not think it was head myself as the temp fine I have been driving it about and done about 200k with no overheating only a bit of smoke

:D happy now second garage must know what there doing its a faulty injector it will be hundreds not £#### I can spend the money getting poles for my awning if I can find somewhere that does them

£200 spent still not fixed
Injectors cleaned. glow plugs checked
Its not bad on start up but after a trip you stop leave it start up again and it smokey again

take it for a long run get it hot
then let it cool over night
take the glow plugs out and put card over the holes
turn the engin over and check the card
if one is wet then coolant id getting in as it cools so woul be a cracked head
