hi my mazda bongo 2.5 turbo diesel is blowing black smoke it seems to do it when the engine is warm i have changed the air and fuel filter and added redex;
it also loses power,can you advise?

Do you think that the van is in the right gear?, i.e. is it chugging at low revs, rather than being high revs, but accellerating slowly.
I am assuming automatic transmission here, but one thing to check is that the auto transmission is correctly adjusted - and this is a quick, cheap thing to do anyway. I only say this as this is how i solved a "low power" issue on my van. http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=53432
