Hi there Fury folks.......Humph.......
My bongo wipers wipe all the way over the window and over the edge....the other week the blades got tangled up and stripped the off side wiper thing......so thanks to Kloonsy I have that sorted.....BUT.....
Every time I use the wipers there is a horrendous noise as the blade leaves the window and wipes the pillar....it can't be good and it leaves black marks all over the pillar. I had a look under the lid and it looks like the arm that comes off the motor has an enormous amount of play on it.....plus, if it helps the teckies out there.....you can move the wiper blades up and down the window about 3 inches....there is a hell of a lot of play in them.
So, is this a common issue and can it be easily sorted, do I need a new wiper motor and bits to go with it and will the new year see fuel really come down....I'm converting to LPG on the 11th of Jan so will let you know how that goes.
Any help out there ?
Thanks in advance
Craig

Great!
Another Bongo speciality to look forward to as time goes on.
So far I've had all the main ones up to wheel arches but not fuel sender or cylinder head.

This may help you work out what's under the windscreen.... http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... o=.html#14
Tangled wiper blades may cause the arm to strip the spline... Is my memory right in thinking you had two passenger side wiper arms fitted initially Craig...? One of them to the drivers side?

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Re: Window wipers wipe more than the window !
hi there team, a month or so ago the passenger side arm did get tangled up and the arm itself did strip itself , I have a new one fitted now ( again thanks to Kloonsy )
Now they don't tangle up as I've tightened them up good and proper, the spline is still good but on the passenger side, the arm under the spline has alot of play......
Jaylee, I didn't have two passenger side arms fitted although that sounds like a good idea.
Looking under the lid, there is no way of tightening the arms that connect to the motor thus loosing enormous amounts of play.
Can it be fixed or do I look for another Bongo ?
