Have changed fuel filter, some rubbish in it, but still no lock up
Have adjusted TPS both ways, but still no lock up
On the plus side it now changes up a bit sooner on the revs, n doesn't kick down when u slightly depress accelerator.

Will clean strainer in box tomoz
Then if that doesn't do it then looks like Solenoid 'A' that Mister Munkey kindly sold me, amongst other things too
That'll have to be at the weekend tho

Have also got to change F RHS bottom ball joint for MOT too

Just had sump off again, cleaned strainer, refitted. Still the same.

Just spoke to a NW Transmission in L,pool. Guy said there that even tho it tells u a code it could be a break in the wire !!

Now don't know wether to do solenoid pack or not. Plus it looks it little fiddly.
As ive got mister munkeys old bottom g/box parts not sure if i feel too confident.

I've phoned a couple of Auto transmission garages, n they are saying £200+ the dreaded just to look at it then the cost of parts n labour to fit, if my parts dont work Talk about daylioght robbery

I know how long it takes to drain, remove sump, strainer, then obviously the offending bit inbetween. MAX IS 1HR for that, even with 1 arm tied behind ure back

Auto boxes are the only thing i have never had any dealings with, and i know it's a bit specialised, but it's still a lot of cash.

Will have to have a rethink about the old girl, n maybe get a divorce in the new year

She's becomming too high maintenance in the current climate

That is extremely expensive just to look at it, sounds like they are on the make wherever they are, although I think expecting it to be done in 1hr is asking a lot, we road test before & after the job, so there is an hour (with our traffic here in the southeast) without putting a spanner on it, still what do I know!

Sorry i meant to say an hr max to get it all off, i can appreciated the time say 2 hrs to remove and replace.

Didn't think about the road test. Thats still around £150 + vat max
Surely tho once it changes thru all the gears how much more testing is to be done then.

I'm so used to doing my own repairs that i don't really consder the labour

I wish i could get £45 n hr n i'm a fully qual spark
