Hesitation when driving off from a stop

Post by HeskinBongo » Tue Nov 15, 2011 1:38 pm

Hi
Situation is gradually getting worse, when stationary for a short period, then re apply accelerator to drive off the auto gearbox hesitates, then suddenly snaps into dive and goes.

What is causing this ?

Clean oil about 18months ago when i changed the solenoid pack

Have you checked the fluid level?

BF member Alacrity (Geoff) would be worth PMing about this as he is a pro with autoboxes. I noticed he was online yesterday, so he is about.

throttle position sensor maybe. check the wiring on top of the pump is connected ok and clean, if you pm me i will tell you how to test the sensor, and give you the readings you should see when testing according to the manual.

does it do it at any other times ?? thinking turbo pipe leaking, small pipe from air inlet pipe to pump top(vac advance).
or even the pump itself, any leaks around the side (advance) seals or diesel in the sump (nose seal).
fuel filter/banjo filter/fuel lines.
are you running diesel or other, its getting cool now
