Got 225x55x17 on ours. Its a 4wd but that shouldn't make any difference.
Make sure the load rating is OK though.

Ha...just noticed where you are Mike.

At least I guess you won't be needing a separate set of snow tyres.

No we don't get a lot of the white stuff here....if we do the County roads team try their best but 1/4 inch of snow and East Anglia grinds to a halt..  .... .......did you know that Accelera make a Snow tyre for our size?.... comes under the....not surprising name of Accelera Snow brand,,,,,

Haven't seen another one yet, there is a Bongo Fury member in Brisbane (about 7 hours away). There has been a couple for sale recently in New South Wales.

Thanks for the link

Our 4WD has 225/55 R17 on each corner. Can't remember the load rating but know that they are extra load tyres.

I have not checked .. so I was just wondering if 225 55 17" throw the speedo readings out ..??

When I was after tyres /rims I found that 225/55/16" gave a very near match to the diameter for the original 15" rims /tyres..

They have made my speedo more accurate.
Now only about 2% fast as opposed to 5% with 15in rims. Checked against a couple of GPS units.
