sliding door

Post by mad as cheese bongo man » Wed Nov 02, 2011 11:39 pm

Hi All,

This is my first post for a long time .... which in a way is a good thing as it means nowt has gone wrong with my van :)

Anyway, the sliding door seams to have developed a screeching noise when opened/closed .... i assume it just needs greasing/oiling ...?

Also, how often do you need to get them wax-oiled underneath, mine was done when i bought it (4 yrs ago).

Thanks

Rob

Check that the side door step hasn't dropped a little and is the cause of the noise when the lower arm travels underneath it.

Do you every have to Waxoyl again? - I thought it was a one-off job that lasterd the life of the vehicle

although from the Waxoyl website
It is worth checking the underside of your vehicle at least annually for areas where the Waxoyl coating may have been rubbed off is wearing thin. A full re-application is not necessary but you may need to top up small areas.

I'm having mine redone in a couple of weeks time, with some other paint touch-up work. The coating can get damaged from stones etc.
