Manifold Gasket

Post by Printer » Sun Oct 02, 2011 9:18 pm

Hi all

So I took my Bongo to the mechanic as I had a leak in coolant system. He said he suspects leak behind injector pump and told me to get a exhaust manifold gasket.

I went to try and get it along with manifold stud gasket, exhaust gasket and other bits for manifold gasket on this site but got an automatic email from Ian saying he is away till wednesday.

I really need my van back and since Im in Ireland if they arent sent till Thursday I wont get them till next Monday.

So... is there anywhere I could get them in Ireland? Are parts like that readily available or can I get copy parts from a garage here in Ireland. If I went to a Mazda or Ford garage here could I get them? Or can I search an Irish parts site for them?

You coud try any of the other parts suppliers such as AVA, Bellhill, etc (look on the main Bongo Fury site for links) or look on ebay, but check they have the parts in stock before ordering.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

What about this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-Bongo-2 ... 720wt_1037

And is that the only thing I need or do I need the exhaust gasket too or the manifold gasket stud or the turbo to manifold gasket?

are you saying you have a coolant leak behind the fuel pump, or near the exhaust manifold. #-o they are on different sides of the engine ?.
or have you had a coolant leak fixed and he also found a fuel pump leak, or an exaust gasket leak. #-o
