Ripped out Sliding door lock
Some kind individual decided to rip out my sliding door lock and get into my beloved Bongo. Nothing stolen, but the lock has gone. I am not sure where to get a replacement, will a passenger door lock work? Or could I blank off the lock - has anyone done this as it seems to be a weak point. At the moment my Bongo can be opened by anyone and it is parked on the street! Any ideas?

the lock will probably be inside the door if you want to put it back, simple job for a body shop.or just blank it off.
or if you want a new lock set they are on ebay, most of the big bongo parts sellers do them.both airbag and no airbag models.

Hi whufcbong,
Does your central locking work OK,if so just fill in the aperture and paint it.
Cheers.

Short term, disconnect the rod / lever from the outer handle so at least it can't be opened from the outside. I know where I could get you a replacement lock from, but it may be a struggle to find one with the correct key too (unless you are happy to rely on the central locking)

Same thing happened to us a few months ago - the local bodywork shop were able to source and replace the lock, same key, and for a very reasonable price. We were put onto them through the insurance, but ended up doing it outside insurance, if you see what I mean.
