Flashing Hold Light

Post by monkey » Sun Sep 11, 2011 3:47 pm

Started getting intermittent flashing hold light a few months ago. Went away for a while and has now returned. Seems to start after having travelled for a while and then flashes between 10 and 20 times before going off. Starts to repeat soon after. Otherwise everything seems fine. Any ideas?

Wouldn't that suggest a gearbox fault? Strange it's so very intermittent though...

Have a look at the factsheets on getting a fault code, are you getting any other symptoms? rev counter or speedo issues? could be speedo chip if you've got one?
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

My money is on the throttle potentiometer especially if you are getting delayed or jerky gearchanges.
