What is the wiring harness under carpet in middle seat

Post by jamieson_uk » Sat Sep 03, 2011 11:22 am

Hi - just got a 1995 diesel 2WD & I have found a wiring harness under the carpet next to the middle seat slider.
Any ideas what this might be used for - it looks factory fitted as opposed to DIY

Probably the wireing for a CD changer that was factory fitted under the middle seat on some early Bongos. Most are long defunct and removed. The heavy blue wire is a data cable. There should be the four fitting bolts for the changer or holes where they were removed.

Never found a further use for this and removed it when changing the radio.
