Re: none starter
May not be the issue, worth checking out though.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
Re: none starter
You know i had exactly the same happento me this morning.
Turn key, lights on, glowplug light goes out, turn engine, lights out, nothing....
I changed the starter motor contacts about a month ago and charged the battery - not problems since until today.
Hadnt started it for 6 days due to work so now wondering if i have a dud battery?
Or maybe some sort of drain on it? But nothing has really changed electrically...

Mine is a double starter battery and I have a switch with an engine symbol by my right knee.westonwarrior wrote:If you have a double battery setup with a button by your right knee with an engine symbol on it chances are you can't do the contacts
Can you please explain what it does and when/how to use it ?
Previous owner said something to do with cold starting ? ? ?

Re: none starter
Its a cold start system from the north of japan with a "gate" to retrict the exhaust helping the system to warm up quicker
Its best left alone as its not needed here as it never gets that cold and is prone to sticking closed causing running problems.
thats the basic version some one will come along with a more indepth explenation i'm sure
