Re: New Exhaust
Thanks for coming back with that splitpin and sorry I didn't respond earlier - BF forum didn't tell post had been updated at the timesplitpin wrote:The exhaust was from Tony Banks in Leeds, cost around £210 but I collected and fitted it myself, this was a year ago so prices will be higher now. I think they post the system out to you for about £15 , not sure how much they charge for fitting .mikeonb4c wrote:Oooh - well that is encouraging. What was the cost and where was the job done, as I am tempted to go down that road when the time comes

Re: New Exhaust
Delighted to report that my exhaust was made and fitted last Tuesday and I am delighted. It doesn't sound any different to the old one, ie it doesn't really make a noise at all.
I had to have a week to get used to the silence though, as it was blowing quite badly before it was replaced!!
I didn't report back before as I haven't really been anywhere and I wanted to drive it more than the nine miles home from the exhaust place before I reported.
As they make up the exhaust and fit it direct to the vehicle, they don't do mail order, but I was told that as it's a Powerflow Exhaust there'll be someone near you who can make you one. http://www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk/ Hopefully whoever they are will do as good a job as South Crofty Tyres & Exhausts in Pool (without an "e" between Camborne & Redruth in Cornwall).
Price was as quoted, £286 +VAT (£336).

OK OK - reckon I'll opt for one of these when renewal time comes around
