Post by Bongomamma » Sat May 14, 2011 9:04 am

Hi, our new bongo has a squeechy whistly type noise on start up and for a few minutes, I wondered whether this was the fan belt?? Anyone any ideas and can give me a heads up if this is in fact a fatal issue?

as said above, do a search (top right tab) and enter key words, no 1 manifold stud, that may help.

Hi check the tension of the belts, also check the side profile of the belts for wear and glazing.

Cheers..

I had a similar noise for a few minutes after start up. Turned out to be the idler pulley on the aircon belt.
