Exhaust manifold

Advice needed please. I am in the process of sorting the sheared no. 8 stud . Everything going ok but at the stage of spliting the turbo having removed the clamp. Will the rod above the turbo need to be disconnected at the circlip or have I missed something because the turbo is not coming apart easily as suggested in the fact sheet !
