aircon trouble

Post by pen11 » Sat Oct 07, 2006 7:02 am

any advise would really be appriciated on this one. my aircon seems to have a couple of faults on it. firstly it only seems to blow out air on 2 of the setings and wont blow out air in the front and back at the same time. when i first got the bongo a few months ago it worked intermitantly but now not at all.
wirce than this there is now a strange grinding noise when i turn the aircon on, it sounds to me like a fan greating on metal. due to this i cant turn it on any more cos it sounds like its doing real damage.
does anyone know what could be wrong with it and if its and expensive job. thanks :) [/b]

Pen if you only got it a few months ago you should be covered with at the very least a six month guarantee, if you bought from a garage that is, I would take it back and ask them to sort it out, if not there are threads on here but it sounds like it should be looked at by air con people it may just need gassing,I know kwit fit are offering a drive in air con recharge service for ?44.95 with a guarantee that if they can't improve the performance of the air con, a full refund is given. Worth thinking about. Good luck anyway. Happy motoring.

Ha my a look at my comment on similar topic http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... r&start=15. It is possible to strip the motor & clean everything up.
