help re bongo accelerator pedel electronic or cable?

hello..
I have a 95 bongo and i think it has a throttle CABLE and I need to fit a kivi k5 steering under ring as i cant use the peddals... i think it requires an electronic accelerator pedal...do you know if i can convert it to electronic or if and when (what year)they started fitting electronic accelerator pedals to Bongos...

Now, forgive me for not knowing what the kivi k5 is.. but after a brief bit of googling found this... http://www.kivi-mobilityfreedom.com/k5ring.htm I cant see why they cant fit some sort of servo to the cable... But then i don't know alot about this sort of thing!!
