cigerette lighter blown!

Anyone got any idea how to get my cigerette lighter going again please ?

Think I over worked it with a fan I pugged in.

I have changed the fuse in the fuse box by the steering wheel but still no power.

I have a big trip with small children coming up and need my sanity (ie need the dvd player working)

Please help???

Oull the actual socket out it has a fusible link in the back of it, looks like a little bit of black wire, pull it apart and throw it out or put in another piece of wire
