Split charge system supplier?

Post by Kincaid » Fri Feb 25, 2011 12:21 am

A number of threads in the forum mention Willinton (or is it Willington) split charge systems -I just can't seem to find them on the web/amazon/ebay etc. Does anybody know if they are still around?

Expecting this to be right in front of me now I've asked :)

Willinton sells his kits on ebay (usually on a sunday evening). Search for him as a seller on ebay and send him a message and he'll make a kit up and list it. It's a really good piece of kit and a worthwhile purchase. If you want his e-mail address PM me.

Cheers

Andrew

 It's the black Bongo with Ford Racing on the back window around town. The wife assures me it's her Bongo I just get to do all the work on it  We'll have to meet up at some point -sounds like you've already made a number of the mods I plan to.

He hasn't got anything for sale at the moment, but if you click the name in the Seller info lower left corner, that will take you to his profile and he can be contacted from there.

I am also looking for a split charge relay, are the kits on ebay any good for about £15 or do you need to spend more for decent kit. Dont have a lot of cash to spend though.

Unless you have all the necessary parts to hand you'll find the Willinton kit is the most ecomonic way to go. Buying the bits and bobs seperately just doesn't add up imo. :)

Those VSR's do look good, but bear in mind that the Willinton kit is not just a VSR. It's a VSR mounted on a bracket which is tailor-made to fit a Bongo, with pre-made (fused) cables which reach perfectly to both batteries, and a distribution fusebox with a wiring harness which reaches through the bulkhead back to the main fusebox to allow you very easily to patch the 'usual suspects' across from the main battery to the leisure battery. And he does a battery tray as well on some kits.

Got one of the Willinton kits -thanks for the recommendation. I went for the kit & battery tray bundle. Everything's arrived and I'm already really impressed with the quality of it all. I was originally thinking I could make a split charging setup buying the individual components -no chance :D it would have taken me a month of Sundays and I wouldn't have finished with anything as well thought out as this =P~
