Engine flooded ? (petrol only) here's a good tip ...

Hi All,
If your engine floods because of damp , poor battery , etc. What i used to do was take the plugs out clean them and put them back , sometimes it would still not start (happened last year).. called out AA the man showed me a quick fix. What you do is take out the fuse for the fuel pump crank her over she will start but only for a few seconds enough time to replace the fuse whilst engine is still running ... works a treat happened to me this morning . Just thought i would share this with you.

Happy new year to you all .......... Harry :D :D :D

Most EFI engines have a flood clear mode where the fuel is cut when the throttle is fully open during cranking.

No idea about the relay, but fuse details are on the fact sheets in the Member's Area 8)

Two fuses for the FE-E the one that controls the relay and the one that feeds the Pump itself;

There are also 2 relays the power goes thru both, in the box under the bonnet, and the Fuse is marked INJ on the battery +ve terminal
