Should have kept the bongo

Should have kept the bongo
Most of you know that we sold the bongo , and bought a kia sportage as a tow car for are caravan. The bongo never had any major probs in 4 years, took the kia in today to have it looked at. As thought the clutch is on it's way out, could nearly buy a bongo for the price they quoted, seven hundread and ninety nine pounds for a new clutch. We will see how much my mate will do it for at the weekend. Hope he's cheaper

I remind myself of the Bongos low purchase price and running costs every time I start to fret about MPG issues

Re: Should have kept the bongo
Maybe Ian should set up a Counselling section on here for people who regret selling their Bongo!!!!

If you're missing a bit of bongo polishing & pimping Chris, mine's looking distinctly grubby, I'll provide the coffees - or maybe a Crabbies or 2?
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

So sorry to hear that you have to fork out that much just before Christmas Chris, but it makes me more dtermined to keep mine and pay Allan to service it. Had new cambelt fitted yesteday. What a difference, the old one was stretched that much the timing was out.
I hope you can still make NewYear.

Re: Should have kept the bongo
Not really.
Bongos come & go.
Chums are more of a long term thing.
I quite like to think that in 35 years time there will still be a little gang of likeminded peeps chirping away on here, even if the only thing they have in common is a photo of an ancient Bongo.
This place is like the Hotel Calafornia for some.
