Bored with Butties phase 49

Talk about non-Bongo stuff. BUT KEEP IT CLEAN....there are children watching. Smut, filth, and anything offensive will not be tolerated and removed immediately.

Bored with Butties phase 49

Post by Muzorewa » Fri Dec 03, 2010 3:25 pm

Here’s an idea for any leftover rice you may have from that jalfrezi you had last night – rice tortitas are a bit like tortilla española (see phase 5 for details) but even easier to do...

Image
Rice, potato, eggs, spring onions, garlic, paprika & parsley

Image
Grate a potato into a bowl....

Image
....chop some spring onions & garlic....

Image
....then stir-fry this little lot with the rice for a few minutes

Image
Tip the rice & vegetable mixture into a bowl with the chopped parsley & eggs....

Image
....and mix with paprika and plenty of salt & pepper....

Image
....fry spoonfuls of the rice mixture, leaving room for spreading. Cook the tortitas for 1-2 minutes....

Image
....on each side.

Image
Serve hot

Image
For added spice, do a large one....

Image
....then get some chicken livers :?

Image
....zap them in some oil....

Image
....hmmm, I just know you’re going to like this one....

Image
....and use the tortita as a base instead of fried bread

Scrum-diddly-umptious as Muzette would say. But perhaps not in this instance

Hi
Rather rather as we used to say when I was young ( in the days when you could get a dinosaur burger)...I like the sound of that one....looks good too!
YUM
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

Bizzarely enough, this is today's recommended recipe from the BBC:

I think I'm going to put some lucky dips on the Lottery this weekend
