Now i know its the solenoid on the left that causes this primary movement, because the one on the right was shot at the time & i checked this out before i replaced it. (& during the busted solenoids removal.) & also switched the connector plugs & found a similar thing happened except the solenoid activated with the AC too?

This is the vacuum pump...? (Right at the bottom (2/2 with the hand pointing???) http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... 1of02.html Whats causing the vacuum if the engine isn't running on plug warm up...? Or have i got it wrong???

The way mine is set up to start on cold mimics the tick-over full temp when up to temp & AC on a constant 750.. Works for me, like that when i got it!
jamie i think either you or i have our pipes crossed literally!! the right hand one should do the primary movement and the aircon, the left does the opposing pressure, well it does on mine.
dont really suppose it matters a lot,i will check under the wifes petty coat when i get chance to see which does what on hers.there are 3 different places where the pipes could be crossed over so #-o .
the vacuum is stored i think from when it was last run, im going to try to test that,i will take the pipe off before attempting to start it up, it must be stored, then when the ignition is put on the solenoid opens to let the vac through to the chamber.

thanks guys for these replys, good to bat things about. =D> =D>
#-o Switching the connectors to the solenoids (Black & white) over on my solenoid trial/test would have caused my confusion & contrary/reverse ideas to your findings... Im a nupty..! I know my pipe-works in order..! Your right about the AC solenoid Ady..!

Not very scientific i know, i just reverse engineered, found what was broke & replaced carefully after figuring one of my solenoids was shot a while back when reading an AC post & getting a bit of advice from Alan & Kirsty at the time...

Glad we sorted that out!! It also explains why the two solenoids are needed.... :D =D> 8)

right------ ,a large portion of humble pie has yet again been given to me to eat,and for the full accuracy of this thread it must be shared,so--.
kirsty has pointed out a problem with my theory [-X :) .so the following is actually what happens with the solenoids.
the left one triggers the fast-fast idle.and picks up the throttle for the initial very cold start(under 20 degrees),once the engine gets to this point, the solenoid switches off.the right hand one then continues to hold the revs up until the motor reaches 60 degrees.then this right hand one drops off and normal tick over is maintained.the temps are measured at the fan switch.
the right hand one also picks up the revs for the air con.
if the motor is started at above 20 degrees then the left hand solenoid does not come into the startup proccess, and the ecu tells the right hand one only to operate.
hope this clarifies what actually happens.

I knew that...! Though in fairness on your original first theory you can be exonerated...

.... If the connector blocks on the solenoids are switched over..!

just glad to help jamie  . allan you may need this to operate all year round then   ,just adding this really for when someone may look at this in a years time.
thanks to everyone involved for helping me get to the bottom of this one. =D> =D> =D>

just did a coolant change yesterday, stat change.for the winter,on a friends bongo.the owner has had the motor for 3 years, every year the motor had new glow plugs bescause of poor starting/warmup.turned out both the cold start relays were not working.
result,fitted new solenoids,and starts a dream.
