As previously posted, usual state of chaos on Friday meant we had to go in Mrs M's Berlingo.
Despite the fact it's a bugger to drive it can hop along quite nicely & we made the 138 mile trip in two hours, getting to the smashing site just after sunset. Cracked a few tinnies & chatted to the gathered bunch before the three of us retired to sleep in the back of the matchbox sized van, which was Cosy to say the least.

Muz turned up early doors in the morning then we set off for the planned tour. We had the camera with us but no memory card for it so my pics are rather sparse as I only had the phone to use & had no charger with me but took some tasters that will be expanded on from the others shortly no doubt.
After a brief stop at the Owl Trees, we headed for an old Copper Mine which has been used as a set for Dr Who, amongst other things.
To say it was like being on another planet would be something of an understatement.

Then a flyby to a 1600 year old church where we were lucky enough to have a tour guide lady, well into her 90's who took the time to fill us in on the fascinating history of the enchanted place. Brilliant!
Next point of interest was an abandoned brickworks on the north coast. Not used since the First World War but still remarkably well preserved. Sitting at the end of the old jetty is a natural rocky arch. I sloped up on top to take some snaps.

Then it was time for the chippy for tea & a pint at the most northern pub in Wales before heading back for more belly aching laughs, getting our Quiz results (& prizes!!

Could not be beaten.
Huge huge thanks to Debbie for getting together yet another unforgettable weekend filled full of fun & adventure.

& well done too to all those that made it there, we're the Lucky Ones!!
