Just been watching Rick Stein on TV.
He went out onto the bay with the local fisherrmen catching Flukes (flounder) now I got to thinking Ive never tried these, so is there a local fishmonger to Siverdale (im not going on them sands again) who sells them?
It would be good to try them on this meet.
The next question is how to cook them? This might be one for Mr Muz,
Rick filleted them rolled them in flour egg and breadcrumbs and deep fried them.
Who has any other way of cooking them?
Over to you.

Dave

Local fresh flukes available from ....wait for it....Flookburgh...justv down the road from Allithwaite.

Can arrange for some at the Bank Hol/Race weekend in August if you'd like to try some.

No local sources around Silverdale.

Oh, the boardwalk's deserted
There's nobody down by the sho-o-o-o-ore
And the ferris wheel ride isn't turning around any m-o-ore-ore-ore
The heat wave and the crowds are just old new-ooh-ews
But I've still got some sand in my shoes

(Sand in my shoes)
Brings mem'ries of the salty air
(Sand in my shoes)
Whoa-uh-oh-oh the blanket that we used to share
How we fell in love down by the sea-ee
Come back to me (back to me, back to me) with the sand in my shoes

Whoa, oh
When the water was cold
You would tremble and hold me so ti-i-i-i-ight
And we'd sit on the beach just to wait for the stars to come out at night
The heat wave and the crowds are just old new-ooh-ews
But I've still got some sand in my shoes

(Sand in my shoes)
Oh, brings mem'ries of the salty air
(Sand in my shoes)
Whoa-oh-uh-oh the blanket that we used to share
How we fell in love down by the sea-ee
Come back to me (back to me, back to me) with the sand in my shoes

(Sand in my shoes)
Whoa-uh-oh-oh
(Sand in my shoes)
Whoa, la, la, la, la, uh-whoa
(Sand in my shoes)
