Well we rate this as one of the best bongo meets ever. We can't say enough about the effort these people put in to making us welcome. A huge thank you to Peter and Jayne and their family. Also Iain and his girls worked so hard, brilliant weekend and you should be so proud of yourselves. This venture of theirs will be successful, feel we are getting all the benefit.
This weekend had it all. Scenery, the weather was fantastic. Then we all had baked spuds and a bbq and sat together in a marquee. Later we sat round campfires and had a drink and chatted. Was no sooner out of bed next morning and you knew it was going to be a scorcher. The kids spun round on bikes and went to the assault course. Then we all chose which therapy to try. I really enjoyed my massage and would deffo sign up for it again. The horse riding started and kids and adults had a go. Those of us who had had a massage were under orders to relax and not do anything strenuous, think we all managed to comply. In the evening Jayne and Peter started the fires under the huge pots, which are for sale in various sizes if anyone fancies one for cooking in the garden. Then we all sat on the long tables and had a meal together, followed by music and singing and of course drinking. After enjoying a cooked breakfast, we set off in convoy with three others from the northwest. Nice ride home with my feet up on the aircon blowers and a pleasant surprise when I found I still had my flapjack to eat, thank you Pam they are scrummy. Can you bring some more next time please?
