Central Locking problem

Everything was working fine today, but come this evening and now only the driver's door opens or closes when using the remote key fob.

I have done a 'search' but can find nothing related to my problem.
The only way we can open any of the other doors is by using the key.

Is it a problem with central locking memory?

Almost certainly it will be due to chafed and broken wire(s) in the loom out of the driver's door into the door pillar.

Thanks Pippin. Dago's response when I read him your reply was, "Oh God!" By which I guess he means that he hasn't got a clue what you mean!!!!!! He's off to take the door panel off (is that a good start?!!!)

It/they will have become intermittant in the rubber flexible tube coming out of the door.

I have not had this particular problem myself but I suspect that if he removes the panel he will be able to pull the wires to see if any are broken.

He might also have to remove the trim by the pillar where it goes into the Bongo itself.

Actually thinking about it, you can hear the clonking of the lock in the door trying to open which may indicate that the problem is in the pillar rather than the panel, especially as it is the passenger door as well as the sliding door which are affected. Or is that an over-simplification of a diagnosis?

Which door? Drivers' or the ones that don't open?

Forget that!!! We thought it was in the ones that don't open, but it is only in the driver's door which does. The other doors now lock OK on the central locking but won't unlock. Presumably the problem therefore is at the beginning of the circuit which we assume is in the driver's door?

Yup!

Try wiggling the wires as you operate things, it might just help you work out where the break(s) is(are).
