2.0 litre Petrol Exhaust

Post by jaybeeonline » Thu Jul 22, 2010 7:28 pm

The flexi (middle section???) of my exhaust has unfortunately snapped and I cannot find anywhere that appears to stock this item, or if it is even available; therefore has anyone successfully got exhaust parts for the 2.0 litre or modified the ones from the diesel or V6?

Tried Bongobits and they have advised that the petrol and diesel ones are different therefore I may have to travel all the way to Walsall to get a stainless one fitted by the company thats been recommended on here - Jeez

I have also spoken to the Bongo Meister yesterday and he is going to look into it to see if something can be done in the future as there is now a few 2.0 litre petrols about.

Don't know if it helps but I recently bought a stainless steel exhaust from "Long Life" exhausts for my 2.5 TDI AFT. It looks the bees knees and I am very pleased with it. A quick look at their web site shows this as their Glasgow outlet :

With mine they had to make up a new flexi section as part of the job, I chose the tail pipe, and the total bill was £299.

If you want to replace the whole exhaust, it's worth having a SS one as the price works out to much the same as a stock one. You know have the opportunity to get an exhaust with twin tale pipes and with that lovely deep groweling sound.
Just like YBB's, PM him he will more than likley tell you where the best place to aquire one.

Not sure it would make quite the same noise with the 2 litre

How about fitting some 'spokey doakeys' as well :D :D  (that would be grunty enough for me)

The 2.0 litre exhaust (middle section) is the same as the 2.5 V6 petrol centre section. Try Andy at AVA on 01234-480808.
