Hi,
I am looking to buy some roof bars for my Bongo SGL-3. I would like to transport a roof box so they can't be too flimsy.
Can anyone tell me which ones to buy. I have heard that there is a Thule model which fits the car, is this correct?
Any help/brand names/model numbers/where to buy would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Joel

Here are the details of the system available through the Bongo Shop, but they are out of stock at moment. Due back early August.

Also is it an AFT or a Tin-top? - as different bars are required.chalky wrote:Hi,

Re: Roof Bar Query
If you want gutter mounted ones for an AFT model, the Thule bars for an early Landrover Defender will fit (I transport my hang glider on them). They are often available on Ebay.
There is a set on Ebay at the moment which say Landrover Defender but I'm not sure they are the Thule ones as they are a different colour so you would need to check the height of them. A promising start price of £10.00 if they are indeed the correct ones.

You could try Munroman. He sells brackets that can be used with your existing bars if you have any other ones. Depends on your roof type though. I got these brackets and they've saved me a fortune on buying new bars etc.
I love cheese!
